Covid Vaccine News
Posted on 10 May 2021
St Leonard’s continues to deliver 1000s of Covid vaccination doses each week. If you are waiting to hear about your second dose this will be roughly 11 weeks after your first. We get little notice of delivery dates from the Government but we will try and give you as much notice of your second dose appointment as is possible.
Please try and make every effort to attend at the offered appointment; every vaccine is allocated and we do not have spare vaccine available to book you in at a different time or day. If you have genuine, immovable reasons (such surgery or a hospital appointment) why you cannot attend at the offered appointment please contact your OWN GP practice as they MAY be able to re-arrange.
We will not be able to offer an alternative appointment due to a clash with social commitments. Your second dose of Covid vaccine is vital to you and the country to get things back to normality.
If you do not attend your offered appointment we cannot guarantee when you will be offered a further appointment. This may leave you, your household, and contacts less protected against Covid-19.
Dr Simon Brown, GP responsible for the St Leonard’s Local Vaccination Service
