Carers Campaign

We are currently running a Carers Campaign to help us keep our records up to date. This includes recording Next of Kin (NOK) details, so that if a carer becomes unwell or injured, we are aware that someone vulnerable may need support at home. If you receive a letter or message from us, please take a moment to provide the requested information. This helps us ensure there is a safety net in place for the person you care for.

Bowel Cancer Awareness

April is Bowel Cancer Awareness Month. Screening is one of the most effective ways to detect bowel cancer early, when treatment is more likely to be successful. If you’re aged 50–74, you’ll be invited to complete a simple home test every two years. The kit is sent by post and involves collecting a small sample, which is checked for signs of blood. Screening can also detect early changes (polyps) before they develop into cancer. If you’re 75 or over, you can request a test by calling the free helpline on 08007076060.
