Answering your questions about SystmConnect Looking for information about NHS dental services in Dorset? Reporting Financial Concerns at Your GP Surgery
Most services provided by our GPs are free under the NHS. However, some requests fall outside of the NHS’s responsibilities and are treated as private work. This is because the work requires extra time from our doctors and administrative staff.
Do not book a GP appointment to discuss or complete paperwork.
Download and complete our Private Request Form, which includes a full list of current fees.
Return the form to reception. You can also collect a paper copy from the front desk.
Pay in advance. All private work must be paid for before the doctor can begin.
We will contact you if a face-to-face medical examination is required.
The following are examples of services that carry a fee:
For Patients: Sickness insurance certificates, holiday cancellation forms, and private referral forms (such as BUPA or Vitality).
For Organisations: Medical reports for insurance companies, employer health checks (Occupational Health), and solicitor requests for records.
To ensure our GPs can focus on essential medical care, we do not provide the following:
Passport signing or countersignatures.
“Fitness to fly” letters.
Sports medicals (for example, “fit to run a marathon” letters).
Character references.
