Orchid House Surgery has just been granted the authority to conduct research, which means that we can now carry out research that aims to benefit our patients. Our research team is not yet fully established as we are in the early stages of this programme, however, we have appointed Dr Mark Every as the Clinical Lead and Emma Simpson (Practice Manager) as the Management Lead for our research programme. The trials are funded by the National Institute of Health and Research (NIHR), and we previously worked alongside our local Clinical Research Network (CRN Wessex) who supported us in our research. From 1 October 2024, our local CRN has changed to the Southwest Central Regional Research Delivery Network.
For more information about how research works and how your data will be used if you choose to participate in research, please read the Health Research Authority Patient Data and Research leaflet.
This page will provide you with details about the studies we are involved in.
